Tammy was born in Calgary and moved to Saskatchewan in 1980.
Although she lived and went to school in Saskatchewan, all her extended family (6 grandparents, 13 aunts and uncles, and countless cousins) lived in or close to Calgary. She spent every summer on her grandparent’s ranch (riding horses, moving cattle, milking cows) near Okotoks. When they were not working on the ranch, she was able to spend days at the outdoor Turner Valley pool or on cooler days inside the High River indoor pool. Later her grandparents moved to Longview, Alberta, and opened the local liquor store. Soon after, in 2003, her entire family moved from Saskatchewan to Alberta. Her parents moved to Longview and opened Ian Tyson’s Navajo Mug cappuccino and gift shop (with Ian Tyson); her sister moved to Turner Valley and started a family, and her brother moved to Calgary to attend school and later started his own family.
Tammy’s strong family ties to the area and the significant amount of time she spends in the local area have allowed her, since 2005, to build strong relationships with local realtors, appraisers, lawyers, and other industry professionals.
Tammy is a licensed mortgage professional in Alberta and takes her relationships with her clients in Alberta very seriously. Long before ‘working remotely’ she had streamlined processes that simplified the process from application to completion. Furthermore, today’s advancements of ‘working from anywhere have allowed her to build strong, streamlined, quick, and easy methods and strategies for her clients no matter where they may be.
